What to pitch

We consider reported and explanatory features, cultural histories, visual readings and carefully argued essays within our focus. A strong idea has a clear subject, a reason it matters to curious readers and enough reliable material to support its claims. It treats people and traditions with context rather than as symbols or curiosities.

What makes a useful proposal

Send a short summary, the central question, the intended angle and a brief note on the sources or expertise you would draw on. Mention any relevant images, permissions or commercial connections. A pitch is not a promise of publication; we may suggest a narrower scope or ask for clarification.
